On the back of the portrait Tom Parkinson had made for the Billboard article, my dad wrote, "Student of Elephantology, Circus History and Side Show Oratory!" |

Must have been 62 when you all stopped by Little Bob Stevens- Sells Bros Show. I recall you were hauling only two elephants at that time. In 63 Bob had gotten a new tent from O'Henry out of Ill.I am sure they still had the slightly weathered top when you guys stopped by.
To the uninitiated, the various Masonic emblems on the Colonel's stone are at left Scottish Rite, top center Blue Lodge, lower center Shrine, and at right the Knight Templar (York Rite).
They say he best loved to work in the Royal Arch Chapter Degrees, which is part of the York Rite.
I recognize the Free Mason compass and square at the top; what do the other three symbols represent?
You will have to buy Mr. Brown's new book about the Masons. At least what his fictional representation of Masonry will be.
