My wife is undergoing the Empty Nest Syndrome as well.
If this isn't bad enough, afternoon pick up comes during Judge Judy.

My 6 year old granddaughter started 1st grade this year. Her Dad takes her but I have to pick her up, a 25 min drive from my house. My 4 year old grandson dosen`t start Kindergarten until after Labor Day, so he is with me everyday until then, I`ll be picking up both of them after that until High School football season is over because my son-in-law coaches. Who said retirement was relaxing !

Awwwww~ What an adorable picture of you two...it is so hard and sad when they grow up enough to start shcool...and from then on, it speeds by like lightning. Our Granddaughter started her SENIOR year in HS this year! That is amazing and hard to believe.
I have a picture of the first day of Shannon and Shane headed to school...they were so tiny, cute, young and full of themselves. And, they are almost 40 yrs old now!! How is that possible? Karen Glenn

Buckles, I have been in TN for over a week, and have not caught up on all your blog news...might have missed it if you said it...how is Ben doing? Is he taking it easy like the DRS told him too? Please tell him we are keeping him and you all in our thoughts and prayers. God Bless! Karen Glenn
PS I stayed way up high, on top of the biggest mountain there....above Chattanooga...so far out there and away, no internet or cell phone services and I was having withdrawals...no computer at my folks place at all...

My daughter Allie drove to school for the first time today. She's a junior at Riverside HS in Durham, NC.
My gray hairs doubled.... and my heart ached in the reality that time marches on way too fast for me!
Blessings,
