From Buckles

At left is Rick Boger who had bison and long horned cattle on the show in 1994.
A very nice guy and a hard worker. He enjoyed hanging around the elephants and always there to help set up, tear down the elephant tent and make photo-ops like this one.

Rick was always a pleasure to be around, and without a doubt one of the most politically incorrect guys I have ever worked with! A real pleasure in this day and age of ass kissers! He, Pete Cimini and myself accompanied the Red show elephants to Mexico City in 1998, while Gunther and Mark flew down. A fun and memorable trip, especially after Rick ate tacos from a street vendor in Nuevo Laredo! Good memories about a good guy.

I was directly above where this photographer was standing when he took this picture, sitting on an outdoor rooftop cafe having a beer and watching elephants go by. This was taken in April, 2006 when the Blue Unit was at Madison Square Garden. It was a promo walk around the block to introduce The Doodlebops (riding elephants)to NYC. I was there as Troy's guest for my 50th birthday. Best way I could think of to spend it!
