Welcome to Buckles Blog. This site is for the discussion of Circus History all over the world.
The man in the cap looks and stands like Bert Pettus. I don't know if he was on King-Cristiani. Does anyone know for sure?
That domed building looks like WQ at Macon. Central City Park.
This and photos #3 and #4 are mislabeled 1951. No, they are 1952 and were taken by Joe Bradbury on April 5, 1952 at the King-Cristiani opening in Macon. The same shots were published by Bradbury in his “King Bros-Cristiani,” a review on the 1952 opening in WHITE TOPS for May-June 1952, p.21. There was no King parade in 1951. Bradbury's piece goes into detail about King reinstituting a circus street parade for the first time since 1939.
