The finale. This was the first year I can remember seeing Gunther’s uncaged tiger circling the arena on an elephant. For me, this was always one of those magic moments that helped to define the performance when Gunther was the Red Unit’s undisputed star. |

Don Foote created some beautiful blankets for Gunther's entrances. Each one was really a work of art and it's something that I miss seeing on the show today. All of the old blankets are now stored at the Feld warehouse in Palmetto. It's a shame that the general public will probably never see the vast majority of them again because some of them are true works of art.
I believe price rode kongo, but Henry would know for sure.
