1973 Red Show #12

The outfit Gunther has on must have been one of his favorites, since I can remember seeing him wearing it backstage on several different occasions over the years.

It seemed like long-sleeve, white shirt and Levi's were his favorite!

Frank,

Just curious: are you the "Groucho Marx" Frank Ferrante?

No. Jack I'm not, but our paths have crossed over the years. 'Groucho' is ten years younger than I am. You would appreciate this, after my season with Wallace & Rogers I turned to acting in local and regional theater. About fifteen years ago the Tampa Tribune had two ads on the same page, one for Frank Ferrante appearing in St. Petersberg in 'An Evening with Groucho' and another ad for Frank Ferrante appearing in Tampa as Tevye in 'Fiddler on the Roof' - on the SAME night! And yes, we had members of his audience thinking they were seeing him and people in his audience thinking they were seeing me! ~frank

That is funny, Frank.

I asked because in my early days of teaching at USC the "Groucho Frank" was the roommate of one of my students and I met him a few times,

"Fiddler," huh?

Shalom!
