When the 103rd Red Unit Edition played San Diego in 1973, I was still on active duty in the Navy, serving on board the aircraft carrier USS RANGER. The ship must have been in port that weekend, since I was able to make it down to see the show. That year, I shot 16mm movie footage during the performance and outside in the backyard. (If Buckles’ “Magic Lantern” is ever revived, this footage will be made available for everyone to see.) |

Eric,
If there is any footage of the clown gags from that show PLEASE contact me at cashincomedy@yahoo.com. I'd love to post them on clownalley.net!
Thanks,
Pat
73 was my 1st year on the show as a clown. Lot's of gags and walk-a-rounds. we were pretty busy the whole show.
