The Vanishing Engagement!

I have been informed that the Coney Island date has mysteriously disappeared from the Gold Unit Tour Page.
Must have gotten Zing Zang Zoomed from the Internet.
Maybe we scooped the Front Office.

Am I mistaken, or didn't Cole Bros. play Coney Island last summer?

Cole Bros. played Coney for a week during the summer of 2007.

I read in one of the Trade Journals that the powers that be at Coney Island and the Feld Organization could not come to terms over the percentage on Concessions. Guess time will tell. Markeno

It was on the Ringling Web Site for a while.
If it was made to vanish by Zing Zang Zoom that would be one of the few tricks that actually worked.

The Feld Entertainment Concession Co. is not to be taken lightly. Even if it means resuming the Gold Unit route in Cut and Shoot, Texas.

Maybe Coney will do as Abe did, & produce their own "Zing Zam Zoooooom", I seem to remember that was also over the concessions.

This NY Post article appeared March 19th and mentions that the negotiations regarding concessions was the deal killer.

I found the Coney Island date on the RBBB web site 2 weeks later. Perhaps the beef was patched.

Within 24 hours of the Coney Island date appearing on the blog the information VANISHED from the Ringling tour page.

All the news that is fit to print AND
all the news that will cause a fit.

I didn't intent to cause a panic; since it was published on the web site I figured it was a done deal.

OK, time to speculate - if it does go through, who's tent will they use?
Bring back the Kaliedoscape tent (a Nock tent I believe from Europe) or what?
Who in the USA would have a tent suitable?

There were 2 options for RBBB at Coney Island. One was via a developer, who offered perks, but also wanted a cut of the concession money.
The second was a site with the standard arrangements.
RBBB chose the second.....duh
Story of this was in New York Times last week.
