The ladder act could have been my Dad, he worked in England from 1928until 1932 with "The Bronellis" who did a ladder and a type of sway pole act that was turned by a motorcycle on a high platform. After England the worked at Steel Pier in Atlantic City. I remember him telling me about the high dive horse act.
I saw an act with a ladder across a trapeze like this, I beleive on the '57 Ringling show. A man balanced on one end, and from the other a woman performed heel and toe. 24-Hour Man, wasn't this act known as the Rixos?

Damn. I did it again. I hit ENTER, when I meant to sign on. Anonymous should read "Yours Truly".
that act roger asked about was the rixos, who were members of the nock family
Yes the Rixos were Charlie Nock
and his wife that did balanced
ladder as a second act to their
family sway poles and later were
on the "Beatty" show with it
along with Elizabeth doing a
breakaway trapeze
