On behalf of the clowns that frequent this site,I'm afraid I have to object to the use of the word "clown" in relation to Mr. Maher as it besmirches the dignity of our craft. An unfunny goober, unfunny jackass, unfunny pundit, even unfunny comic, but definitely not clown.
Recently, a "Forward" came to some of us in regard to the big-name celebs who mocked God in their own ways, and met some terrible ends. Some remember what Cathy Griffin said upon receiving her Emmy, so I hope not to repeat it. Maher practices similar mockery now in his book and on his stand-up tour. They become so big in their own minds, for them there is no price to pay. Well...stay tuned.

... would almost seem they have a family resemblance, hm? ... or am I just imagining that?
