Scan11481, originally uploaded by bucklesw1. Buckles, Ringling Red, "Zing-Zang-Zoom", has had a good run to date in the New York Metro area. The Red unit played Newark early this month and did surprisingly well even tho the Blue Unit played Newark in the fall. The Meadowlands Arena always plays big and the crowds were huge. Also that venue is one of the best for the concession department.. People in that part of New Jersey just love to spend money on circus toys. Nassau Coliseum on Long Island did much better than the previous 2 years. Eleven shows were given with 3 sell outs, 4 90% plus, 3 shows better than 70% and the two school shows, weekday 10:30 AM about 50% full. Included is a hand-out heralding the birth of "Baby Barak". This was available at concession stands "no charge". Also a discount ticket for Nassau Coliseum and Madison Square Garden dates. Joe Giordano
