PRESS RELEASE PRESS RELEASE JAFFA SHRINE CIRCUS ELEPHANT LUNCHEON Wednesday, April 8th - 10:00 AM - Walter L. Main Train Wreck Memorial Site Tyrone, PA Jaffa Shrine Circus Elephants have been invited to an Elephant Luncheon and Wreath Laying at the Walter L. Main Train Wreck Memorial Site north of Tyrone, PA. Shrine Circus Elephants will lay a wreath in memory of the five people who lost their lives in the Walter L. Main Circus Train Wreck on May 30, 1893. Due to weather conditions during the month of April no rain date will be scheduled.. Immediately after the elephant wreath laying a huge elephant size luncheon will be held on site. Local Representatives are invited and since Tyrone Schools aren't in session school children are invited to join us. We expect a large crowd so come early and get a good standing place, bring your camera. There will be no concessions or bathrooms. This event is held in conjunction with The Forepaugh - Lubin "Grandma" Tent - Circus Fans Association and The Tyrone Area Historical Society. The Train Wreck site is located four miles north of Tyrone, I- 99 Exit 52, look for circus arrows on Vans Scoyoc Road near the Tyrone Sportsmen's Club .... Then join us at the 70th Annual Jaffa Shrine Circus for 15 Fantastic Performances. You will see tigers, monkeys, dogs, horses, elephants and Big Top Stars. So who produces this date now?
Struppi Hanneford, Producer for seven days 15 performances. This year will feature tigers, dogs, monkeys, elephants, horses and some of the best circus acts in the business. Struppi also produces the Pittsburgh Shrine Circus three days prior to Altoona. Ten days of excellent circus....All Roads lead to Pittsburgh and Altoona..
