EW-15, originally uploaded by bucklesw1. Standing on a hilltop, the two of them watch as Elephant Walk (and the last vestiges of the power held over Peter by his dead father) goes up in flames. Peter remarks that he plans to rebuild the house BUT IN A DIFFERENT LOCATION. The last shot is of the old bull, trumpeting in victory. Made 55 years ago and a product of its time, ELEPHANT WALK is still of interest because of the lush Technicolor photography (particularly the location footage shot in Ceylon), a young and stunning Elizabeth Taylor, and the well-staged elephant rampage at the end.
