"The Last Trumpet" #1 (From Eric Beheim)

jumbo2, originally uploaded by bucklesw1.

SERGEANT CRIBB was a 1980 British TV series about a Scotland Yard detective in Queen Victoria’s England. The London Zoo figures prominently in an episode titled “The Last Trumpet,” which takes place right when Jumbo was to be shipped to America.

Early in the episode, Jumbo is seen being walked around the zoo grounds by his keeper Matthew Scott. (The African elephant that “stood in” for Jumbo was considerably smaller than the real Jumbo and also had tusks.)

Buckles,
I see that you didn't get a chance to get to the mall to have your weekly weigh-in. I hope that you have not given it up!!
I also have a weight problem as I am sure many of your readers have and it was a real inspiration to see how you were doing.
Regards,
Bob Kitto

The recent gathering at Gibtown Bar will attest that I am indeed a fine figure of a man!
