Actually, they got the rear doors wrong. The bottom should open first. This beast must have been trained not to start walking, or the lower doors were adequately high to stop forward motion of his body.
I agree with the last anomyous. I've heard it said that the old RBBB rail show giraffe wagons were made so that the bottom opened first. That way the animals, seeeing the open top door in front of them, would not start out and get tripped up.
