Red Show 2009 #7

No flying act this year and has been replaced by these Chinese contraptions that glide slowly back and forth while people wearing mechanics are vaulted from catcher to catcher.

For some reason they appear to be wearing surplus Bello wigs trimmed down.

There are four things that always bring reaction from the crowd that make it a circus: Elephants, Cat Act, Flyers, and Clowns. These and the mammoth display of so much going on was what impressed me as a child. So much to see, those producers never lost the attention of children as there was so much to see! I remember Dorey having three flying acts in 83, and they threw their tricks one after the other so you constantly were watching from ring to ring. No wasted time as with today's troupes who get paid for four tricks, long warm-ups, and are out of the ring.
