Ursula-3, originally uploaded by bucklesw1. When the Blue Unit was in San Diego in 1980, I was able to get Ursula to autograph her Zirkus Aeros poster. It almost didn't happen, however. Even though, as a bandsman, I had access to the backstage area, when I approached her dressing room door, I was suddenly overcome with apprehension and was afraid to knock. Fortunately, just then bandleader Ronnie Drumm walked by, and I got him to take it in for me. (I’ve always wondered what Ursula’s reaction was when this poster was unexpectedly presented to her to be signed.)
