Polar Bears #1 (From Eric Beheim)

Ursula-1, originally uploaded by bucklesw1.

This newspaper ad featuring Ursula is from the Blue Unit’s appearance in San Diego in 1980. Incidentally, those ticket prices in the ad, when converted to 2009 dollars would be $12.46, $15.08, $17.70 and $20.32 respectively. Considering how much show you got for your money back then and how much you get today, the Circus was definitely a better value 29 years ago.

Eric - I notice the ad says the prices include parking. Wow!

Tickets $7.75? Including parking?
Hell, at that price I could bring the neighbors kids and go out to EAT and buy some concessions and then everyone can come home feeling like a real circus celebrity.
And we would all wait with heightened anticipation until we could do it all again next year.
