This newspaper ad featuring Ursula is from the Blue Unit’s appearance in San Diego in 1980. Incidentally, those ticket prices in the ad, when converted to 2009 dollars would be $12.46, $15.08, $17.70 and $20.32 respectively. Considering how much show you got for your money back then and how much you get today, the Circus was definitely a better value 29 years ago. |

Eric - I notice the ad says the prices include parking. Wow!

Tickets $7.75? Including parking?
Hell, at that price I could bring the neighbors kids and go out to EAT and buy some concessions and then everyone can come home feeling like a real circus celebrity.
And we would all wait with heightened anticipation until we could do it all again next year.
Eric: I'm not on your contact list, but kindly look for an e-mail from me today. Thanks.

Did she actually ride a polar bear?
