If my memory serves me right, this cat did a leap to the arms, thus the reason for the leash. Yes, those are Jaguar markings now that you mention it, but if I recall (?) the cat may have been a cross between a Leopard and a Jaguar. I think they call them LepJags?
I was thinking the same thing-that that looks more like a jaguar judging from the markings. I think that Amur leopards have markings like a jaguar, but I doubt it's an Amur leopard. I was also thinking that it might be a leopard/jaguar cross.

I have since been told that this was Eddie Schmitt's cat act while appearing with the Jeanette Williams Circus.

I bet the only reason the jag still has his head is that he has the tigers tongue in his mouth!
