Cole Bros. Circus 1922

MAIL0333, originally uploaded by bucklesw1.

Now back on two cars this picture tells the whole story.
The tent and seats were loaded in the baggage car and hauled to the lot by several collapsible wagons that rode in the possum bellies. In each town horses were hired to gilly everything back and forth..
They even had a small elephant "Judy".

If anyone wanted to know what a possum belly was, this is a great photo to blow up to view the two on this car. Understand these where also called cellars by some.
