| Pat English was just a girl who answered an ad. Beatty used the "Learn to be a Wild Animal Trainer" story more than once for publicity. Has anyone out there screened "Cat College" lately? It was an MGM Pete Smith Special which told all about Pat at Beatty's Jungle Zoo in Ft Lauderdale. She never became a famous or a skilled trainer but she did get a Camel Cigarette ad for her troubles. |

Interesting stuff. "Animals training schools" seem to pop up now and again. I suggest the fact that she wasn't very good but still got a Camel ad, is better then the Silver Clown that some get for not being very good. LOL She is wearing a ring, in one of the pictures. I am wondering if her husband was along for the ride, or if it was something she did on her own with his blessings, or maybe he didn't know where she was. LOL Thanks for the information.
