Buckles,
Was Hagen Bros. Circus the old Howard Suese/Clyde Bros Circus. I saw some old trailers out in the field in Edmond years ago that had Hagen Bros. painted on the sides.

You got it right. In 1957 Bob Couls was the manager and Jenda Smaha worked the show's two elephants "Elsie" and "Terry".

Buckles,
Thank you. In 1995 when Lou and I were spring cleaning the elephant barn, I found a straw cowboy had jambed behind some support beams on the front wall. It had the name "REX" penciled on the sweat band. I asked Lou, who's hat this was, and he said, "probably Rex Williams, go ahead and throw it away. I had never heard of Rex Williams so I did, but years later, I sure wish I hadn't.

Buckles,
I'm sorry. I meant to type 1975 not 1995.

I'm probably too late jumping in for anyone to see this, but I've always thought Suesz had two units: Clyde Bros indoors and Hagen Bros under canvas. Both shows used phones.

I saw both shows but ten years apart. Clyde Bros featured Poodles Hanneford. I also recall the guy that did an act like Larry Griswald.

When I caught Hagen Bros Joe McMahon was manager. They had one girl on a web and introduced her act as the aerial ballet.
