A Special Invitation to wives and children of Flint Area Service Men fighting in Viet Nam was extended by Potentate Jack MacArthur.
In spite of a blizzard that piled 12 inches of snow on Flint more than 200 wives and youngsters attended.

This brings a tear to my eye...I was one of those young wives left at home during the Vietnam War and this was a wonderful and loving thing for them to do. Those were surely scary and tough times, especially for us young (real young) women back home. Karen Glenn
