Buckles, is that Aurelia Zavatta?

I believe it is.
I've been waiting for Jimmy Hall to comment.
It looks like she did flip-flaps around the ring.

This clip from YouTube might be of interest.
Go to 4 minutes and approximately 25=30 seconds and it shows a young lady doing the flip-flaps on a horse that matches the one in the above photo, harness and all.

The clip is from the Cole show and features many circus stars, "stars" being an understatement.

I hope this helps.

I believe this is a Renpiensky girl, Lucy, and her husband's name was Donalow ? I recall as a kid the last time I can remember seeing them would have been around 1956 or 57. They were on there way back to Italy. My mother did not use a panel or pad on the horse. It was frowned upon in the olden days. A bareback act was supposed to mean bare back way back when.
P.S.My mother often said that the girls in the Renpensky riding act were the undisputed Queens. However she also said the Cristiani troup were the absolute Kings when it came to a riding act.

Mike, thanks for the clip link. The film was a treat. Filtering out the chatter from MST2K's crew, I heard the film's narrator announcing the lady on the horse as Miss Lucy, bearing out Mr. Hall's assessment. Thanks to you both.
