All of these ads make me wonder where the fair pitchmen have gone. They used to winter in the local dime stores and when the season started they migrated to any and every fair that would let them make their offers (for a price). The last time I saw a real pitch, was in Beaver Dam, Wi, where Chuck Schlarbaum and I ended up after making a wrong turn, which was my fault. Chuck had his Gibtown hat on and we had a very enjoyable chat with the guy after he had turned the tip. He would have liked to put on a full jam auction, but the fair board wouldn't let him. He, as I recall, was from Michigan. Bob Kitto

Bob Kitto
Could his name have been Kelly? or Dermot?
