About 1956 we were showing Duluth for Orrin Davenport and to my surprise into the men's dressing room marched the movie actor George Tobias who had come to see Jimmy Troy.
Although we did three shows, Mr. Tobias spent the whole day cutting up jackpots with Jimmy.
The most remarkable thing to me was his demeanor, dressed immaculately from hamburg to cigarette holder and with precise diction as opposed to the Brooklyn-esque type characters he usually played on film.

What I remember most about Jimmy was he never had a bad day, he always felt great, & was always rearing to go. He came to me on the Paul Kaye show once with dropline in hand and said, "i'm going up in the girders & help you hang the show, but don't give me any webs, or bubble machines, give me something I can sink my teeth in, like loop the loops, anything heavy".

We closed Hammond, Indiana, for Suesz, on November 30, 1975, amidst great sorrow over the news that Jimmy had suffered a fatal fall the night before.
