1001 Nights at Big Apple Circus #2

Scan10744, originally uploaded by bucklesw1.

This is the only act we did that was totally choreographed by the show. I think Paul Binder had seen it done at Monte Carlo.
It mostly involved this couple doing various poses while the elephants went continually around the ring. Known in the Ballet as the "Pas de Deaux" and more commonly done from horse back in the circus.

Buckles,
What year was this? I can't imagine seeing something at Monte Carlo and wanting to copy it. The Gautier boys, Kevin and Michael did this type of act in 1992-1993 with their respective partners and Tusk. They were originally to be dressed in loin cloths with their great builds, until Kevin walked in one day with Satan tattooed on one leg, and a scull with snakes coming out the eyes on the other leg. Axel damn near committed patricide that day, and the boy's ended up dressing in pants and vests.
