Can we have a little more information on that striking beauty with the unusual nickname of Hamburger Mary?
Details, please.
Mike,
"Hamburger Mary" was actually Anne Mace ( I think she also went by another name which escapes me). I believe John Murray Anderson gave her that nickname.
She was a 6' tall beauty and usually rode the payoff float during the specs designed by Miles White.
Interestingly there was another 6' tall beauty named Pat Warner (Lombardi). Very often she would switch places with Anne Mace on the payoff float since they could both fit into the same costume.
You will be able to see both as I will be sending Buckles new sets of float photos periodically.
Dom Yodice
Wasn't she dubbed "Hamburger Mary" because she was often late for Spec due to her penchant for hamburgers sold in the back yard pie car.
I think this quote came from Connie Clausen's book.
Thank you, Dom.
Another 6 foot tall John Murray Anderson find was Roberta Ballantine (Mrs. Bill B.).
I am not certain of the entire lineage, but their son Toby went into clowning, his daughter Tracey went into concessions and her son Brandon works with his father in concessions on the Tarzan Zerbini show.
Brandon's step-mother, is the former Dolly Nock (her father was Charles).
