Were the Doll Family on RBBB at this time? If so, then they were more than likely featured on this float saluting the Wizard of Oz, a motion picture in which they were featured.
John, I agree that the Doll Family was not on the show for 1953. On the float was a showgirl in the large skirt representing "Ozma of Oz" and a man on the right pedestal who was the wizard and a girl on the left pedestal representing Dorothy. None from what I can tell were midgets. Dom.

To the Lollipop Guild, I reviewed the 1953 RBBB Route Book and do not find that the Doll family was on the show.
The elephants were presented by Jeanne Sleeter and Rose Alexander in the end rings and Eugene "Arky" Scott in the center.
