OK -- trivia time -- this is the grand and glorious 100th anniversary edition of the GSOE -- Blue Unit with Prince Paul and Duane Thorpe.
However, shortly thereafter Duane moved to the Red Unit where he spent the rest of his long tenure.

More trivia, the balloons that Prince is carrying are "crystal spray" and they look like they came from Qualetex.

During the balloon retail opportunity (pitch) on Yankee Doodle I've said, about 100,000 times, that "these balloons are not ordinary balloons, they are double dipped latex balloons which makes them two times stronger so they'll last two time longer than any ordinary balloon. Circus balloons now on sale, $3.00 each, customers with exact change will be waited on first. Take out your money and hold it high in the air."

With diesel at $4.50 I am considering stepping up those balloons to $4.00--this way I can say the balloons are cheaper than a gallon of gas and so much more fun.

PS. Duane Thorpe was from Gardner, Massachusetts, from a very old and established New England Family.
