The location is Grant Park and the photographer was Harry A. Atwell. They must have erected a temporary apparatus in the back yard for his photographic work.
On another ocassion, they took the elephants over and posed them in the Buckingham Fountain, with and without people. Those are some of the most incredible photographs. Show them to people from Chicago and they stare in silent disbelief.
