Chas. B. Wier Elephants #1

This rakish looking gentleman is Dan Darrow posing with "Wier's Baby Elephants" "Maude", "Cutie" and "Trixie" in the early 1920's.

My dad sometimes talked about having a clown elephant in our act, he explained that you slide a piece of piano wire into the outer seam of the collar to make it stand out.

My Dad told me as a young boy on what a great presentationj the Weir elephants were as presented by the handsome Don Darragh. I believe I noted this spelling of his name in later publication. Or maybe it was Dan Darragh.
