"I found this notice a bit confusing so I phoned Lewers, which is only a few miles away and was told that since there is no Funeral Home in Gibsonton the Memorial Service will be held here in Ruskin. Still confused I inquired about a Funeral and they were not aware any and suggested that the Funeral Service might be private."

Buckles,
I got that info from the family last night.
Perhaps it isn't a "funeral" but a "memorial gathering".
When I get more information I will pass it on.
In this time of grief the precise wording might get jumbled.

We are at a loss for words. We are glad to have called him our friend. You know you all are in our thoughts and prayers.

Buckles,

As Lauren commented, Bobby's wishes were to be cremated. We are having the memorial service at Lewers. His funeral will be in Fort Atkinson, Wis. (his hometown). His remains will be buried with his mother and father. His brother, Joe Eddie Fairchild, will be taking him home to his final rest.

Please let me know when the service will be, here in Wisconsin. I will try to attend, if possible.
The show world has lost yet another one of its "greats". Bobby was always a gentleman, and will be sorely missed by all those who came in contact with him!
May he rest in peace, until the Lord returns for him!
