I was told that at this time Mr. Berry booked his 3-act out of the Seattle Zoo plus used the facility to operate his animal importation business, this would account for the unnamed baby in front. Legend tells us that in a dispute, the Zoo eventually invited him to leave and one of the most remarkable events in captive breeding in over a half century in the U.S. was moved down the road to Portland.
