Gabriella Guzman was doing them on a Shrine date 2 or 3 years ago in Fargo, ND when I hosted and clowned there.

With respect. I am sure not like Wanda Ward did them. A gorgeous red head who could strut and show, like no other. I forget now how many she would do, but it was something. Her right arm put a lot of athletes to shame. There had been older performers that I had never seen that did planges, but at the time, I was told she was the best.

This is Wanda Ward. I spent 2 seasons with her on Clyde Brothers (71,72). She was a hoot and lots of fun! She would turn out 80 to 100 planges per show. Even when we were outside in the blazing heat of Nebraska. The second season her brother Brad clowned on the show. Brad, Bonnie and Phil Bonta and myself were the alley.

a little lady by the name of katya odintsova did them on the rbbb blue unit in the 1990's. she did 55 planges in madison square garden....

I feel I must mention the name of Evansville's own Maurice Begarie when it came to planges,however, Mrs Concello's protege, Wanda Ward was sharp. 75 to 100 was the norm. I might mention Wanda also had a seal lion act on the road with the Hamid show for a season or two. The gal Pat mentioned did 20 or so in Evansville last year. It was good to see again though.

The only person that I remember doing one arm planges was Vicky Unus aka La Toria. Does anyone know the type and intensity of training necessary to reach this incredible level of fitness?

maryse begary climaxed her act with planges, and was featured on all the big shows. both she and vicki unus did planges in the john wayne movie, circus world; maryse doubled for rita hayworth in the air while vicki doubled for claudia cardinale.
