And also move the (can’t quite make it out) wagon under the roof where the calliope is usually spotted! Yesterday we were told the wagons had been moved. What about the valuable exhibit material inside the buildings? Looks like with another four feet expected, the grounds will be under water. Please keep us up-to-date! Good luck to all, we support you! Dick Flint Baltimore
Just talked to an officer of the law, who was wanting to know why I was in an area that was blockaded off. Told him I was transporting my carnival equipment to a date. The river did rise about 5-6" last night, from around 6:30PM to about 6:00AM. Officer stated that the river will rise another 2, or so, inches in the next 24 hours, due to the rain that we're supposed to get tomorrow, from the info he received. Pray that it goes way around us! Water is up to/under the red train car, in the picture. No wagons appear to be in any danger, and have been moved to safe places. The buildings seem to be okay, from my vantage point, but the water is awfully close. The Feld Building, and the Ring Barn, Gift Shop, Elephant Barn, & Animal Barn all appear to be okay, too. The only thing that looks "ify" is the ice cream stand, and it's practically on the "edge". Will try to get more pictures, later today, to share with all! Pete, the Baraboobian!
To Dick Flint - believe me the staff are doing everything they possibly can. By the way, staff from the Wisconsin Historical Society have visited the site.
