I'm the son of Jesse Claude Crumley. He is pictured here in the lower right hand side. I date this photo to the season RBB&B 1936.
In 1935 he worked with the Roy Alexander Troupe Hagenbeck-Wallace. Roy Alexander died and Jesse (Jake) Crumley went to work for the Yacopi Troupe the following season 1936. He was with the RBB&B Yacopi Troupe 1936, 1937, and 1938. He traveled to Berlin Germany and worked with the Yacopi Troupe at the Deutchlandhalle in January 1939. He resigned from the troupe on the return trip to the USA. The photo is most likely from 1936 because the troupe became larger in later years beginning about 1937 or 38. It was the reason my father gave for resigning. The pay was to small due to the number of members in the troupe by 1938 and 1939.
