Notice the round foot under the pole used to pull the pole up part way. The round foot does not tear up the asphalt like the square ones do. Final pull up is done without the foot. The round feet are used sometimes to keep the poles from sinking in the the ground when it is very soft and they are left on until teardown. Bob Kitto
