In the background you can see the wood chute going up out of the arena. The rest is hard to see but it makes it look like this was taken in the barn in Peru.

Hi Bob,
I THINK these were taken when Terrell had his show on a cranival.
The second photo you can see light under the side wall and his cages were in the inside of the tent.
These photos might be the ones offered on ebay some dealer got from some circus fans estate from Ill. and sold the negs one at a time.
Bob have you noticed all the circus stuff on ebay offered by half the dealers in Maine where the Frank Robie auction was and i bet they got alot of it real cheap and they jack up the prices to make alot of $$$$$$.

Why was Sheba famous?

Terrell Jacobs was The Lion King and a consummate showman who knew how to promote his most accomplished lioness. Sheba was photographed with everyone who was anyone, from the Justin Boots guy to Richard Nixon. She was photographed further when she sprouted a mane, evolved other masculine essentials, and became a male. This development was not new to animals. It had been studied and documented before, but Terrell Jacobs knew how to get the best coverage and Sheba became known to the world.
