I once saw Johnny Weismuller being inerviewed on TV and he said that the first day of ever filming a Tarzan movie, he was informed that he would be tied to a tree and a chimp would untie him. The Director yelled "Action!" and the chimp walked over and promptly bit him on the arm. He said that this was the first lesson he learned in Hollywood and he never again let them tie his hands while around animals.
