In days of old, this would have been Freddie Freeman and Otto Griebling, on the Cole Show. Those were the days!

This was one of the best clown boxing gags I have ever seen! The audience really got into it...they were actually laughing.

They left out the best part. In round 2, one contestant takes a wild swing, the other ducks and the referee is knocked out.
Between rounds the referee sits unconscious on a stool while the boxer fans him with a towel until he is revived and the fight resumes.

Buckles: This seems to be the Latin verision. Slightly different than the orginial version.

Buckles...I knew you Knew "Midgets & Atomic Hair-growers" but had No idea you were a Authority on Classic Gags...I think you missed your calling....You should have done "Color Commentary" for Don Ameche.......Jim Zajicek P.S. In Corpus Christi Yesterday, I stumbled on a Immigration Rally....They could have used the Payaso...I find it refreshing to see a Hispanic dressed in the Red White and Blue...Did he Habla Englis'?..........

Otto always had fairly long hair and when reacting to a punch you would swear he actually got hit.
In round one Freddy would land a quick flurry of punches and then casually stroll back toward his corner. After regaining his wits Otto would chase after him and as he drew back to respond, the bell would ring.
After complaining to the referee in pantomime Otto would return to his corner but as he started to sit down, he would be interrupted by the bell.
Complaining again to the referee, Freddy jumps up, lands more punches, turns........the whole piece of business would be repeated.
This is a great number if you can do pantomime, if not stick with the Atomic Hair Grower.

Buckles...Great Stuff!...Perhaps when I get back to Florida in Nov. I can make it down to Showfolks...I;d like to hear your breakdown of the "Washer Woman"! I'll even trade you a Johan Petursen Giants Ring for your plans of the "Atomic Hairgrower"..Now that Brill's out of business.....Jim Zajicek

Buckles,
Doint let the curator fool you, the giant's rings are all over the place and they don't bring that much. The original price of 25 or 50 cents would be about right to pay for them.
Bob Kitto
PS
I'm only on my 2nd martini tonight.

Bob...True they are...My freind Ouch pretty much has the market cornered...he sells them for about $5 on E-bay....I scored a bunch from him when I purchased a 2-headed bouncer from him....So, Buckles...I'll make it 2 Johan Petursen Rings...1 metal and 1 plastic.... Johan sold both.....The Curator Umm Jim Zajicek
