I saw this 1947 spec here in Atlanta in October 1947 when I was 13. I thought it was sensational. There seemed to be no end to the floats and other units that kept coming in the back door with the payoff being the ornate gold chariot for Cinderella.

I have since heard the floats criticized for their boxy look, not at all up to the quality we had seen in 1941 and 1942.

As I look at these pics I can see the basis for that criticism.
