To see the original motion picture trailer for the Greatest Show on Earth cut and past the above web address, then click on the beige wording The Greatest Show on Earth -- original trailer.
There's an opening chit-chat between Cecil B. DeMille and Ernie Burch
This is the 56th Anniversary of the opening of GSOE according to the Turner Classic Movie details.
This trailer is just as entertaining as the picture itself. Cecil B. is a hell of a salesman -- too bad he didn't do Shrine dates.
I meant to include this tid-bit with Mrs. Ballantine's obit.
Clown College '74 -- Mrs. Ballantine presents a program on "Nutritrion" for us teenagers and 20 year olds.
Theses were the days when everyone ate bacon 5 days a week and nobody even knew how to spell cholesterol. (I know now how to spell Lipitor, too).
While most of information went right over my 18 year old head I did come to appreciate whole grain breads.
She was very passionate about her concern for all the young clowns hitting the road.

Link to the obit of Roberta Ballantine, widow of Bill Ballantine. Mrs. Ballantine was a show girl on RBBB in 1948.
There's a nice photo of Bill (in makeup) and Roberta in wardrobe with an elephant.
Even this Still Photo has that Extra Rich Color & Briliant Quality .
Mike,
Could you please repost the link to Roberta Ballentine's obituary. The one in your comment didn't work for me.
Thanks.
Jack Ryan
