Besides an Asian elephant and a Chianina cattle, for me there is nothing better than a team of dapple greys getting to it. Thanks Buckles.

The flat behind the one conveying the two cages started out as a stock car and was then cut down. As shows dropped the use of baggage stock in favor of tractors and trucks there was lessened need for stocks. These conversions started shortly after 1938 and could be found on a number of railroad outfits. Note that some truss rods have been retrofitted under the sills to strengthen the modified car, the trusswork that had been incorporated into the sidewalls no longer there to provide longitudinal rigidity.
