ATTENTION BLOGGERS

Please, please, oh merciful heavens PLEASE, do NOT ask Wade who the greatest tent maker is.

How times change. First though, how great the tent looks. Second thought, I can count the APHIS non-compliance issues from the air.

Dick Flint, Raffale de Ritis, other's,
You may know. Did Gunther Gebel Williams ever make tent's?
Thank you,
Wade Burck

Note the Vargas animals stablede in the open. No tent. Looks like a private horse act with stable tent next to the picket line. That is one reason I "blew" the show.

Who's white trailer and awning on the lower right of photo?

They don't have shelter for the animals yet someone took the time to string USED CAR LOTS penants from the marquee.

NO CASH, NO JOB, NO CREDIT, NO PROBLEM,

I would say that Leaf tent is among some of the best tent makers they are.
They sure made a many a circus tent for Beatty Cole as well as Vargas.
I saw a tent D. R. Miller had got from United out of Chicago and they put the cable in it too long and a new tent already had big ripps in it after just a few days out.

I'd think with the house trailer's proximity to the elephants wouldn't it probably be Rex's?

Does anyone know who made this tent for Vargas?

The big top was built in Italy, by Canobbio. The interior design was fantastic, they still have a large photo of it displayed in their shop, in Italy.

Leif Osmundson and his father

(who was responsible for many

of the detailed elements in the

standard round top design) were

cetainly among the great masters

I've also heard people mention

Omar but mostly for wardrobe

Thanks Erik, that's what I thought but when I contacted them they said they hadn't heard of Circus Vargas. I am looking for detailed specifications of the tent for a large scale model I am building, do you know anyone that might be able to help me?
