Hyde mann, So your the one who fleeced me!!! Just kidding, my friend. You could have held me up for double the winning amount. It is a beauty. Any more like it let me know. Wade Burck
Sorry Wade, that was the end of my collection. I used to collect antique prints and engravings of performing horses and antique training books. I had some nice ones from the 1700's. But I needed a new harness stitcher, so the toys had to go.
Hyde mann, I have an uncle in North Dakota who was a harness/saddlemaker. When he retired in the early 80's and auctioned of all his equiptment, including his old harness stitcher, it tore him up worse then the selling off of his prize herd of Herford's. He said he to give me all the stuff, and my stupid response was probably, "what am I going to do with that crap, Unc?" Sure wish I had found a place for it. Wade Burck
Wade, Unfortunately most of the harness shops have gone under. A couple of years ago a local saddlemaker died, leaving his whole shop, loaded with beautiful tools and equipment. The shop was immaculate and his work was all laid out for the next day - of course he never knew there wasn't going to be a next day. Too bad I'm so damn poor - I would have loved to have taken over his business. Yes, you should have taken your uncle's stuff. You could have been the last circus harness maker in America when you get old and grey.
hyde mann, Trust me, that old and grey day has arrived. I was considering the blonde thing again, then anonymous tipped my hand. When the irreplaceable equiptment was offered to me I was much younger, and fiqured as soon as I made a couple more million's of dollars in this animal training gig, I wouldn't want it cluttering up the mansion. But alas, I wish I had boxed it up, and rented a storage unit, or at least found an old semi trailer to keep it in. Wade Burck
24 hr. man, It sure is. When was anything ever gotten rid of? I mentioned to Trudy in Evansville, that we needed to get those horse head's, for you to put in your "museum". Do you want them? Wade Burck

Denny Curtiss also did this on Ringling following John O'Brian. Very impressive and they did it.
I sold an anitique print of a carrousel act in Paris on Ebay. The buyer had the last name Burke. I wonder if it was a Wade relative?

Ya know Wade, reading your last post without glasses, it said hairdresser/saddlemaker. Makes a lot more sense when I can see the letters. cc
