This show owned by Stark and Eldridge is not to be confused with the earlier efforts of William Cameron Coup and Lewis B. Lent.

I remember Francis Kitzman identifying one of these as billposter Benny Fink but I can't recall now which one.

Dave,
It happens to all of us sooner or later. What amazes me is that you remembered the guy's name. My memory for names is caput!

Bob: Believe me, if this had been something my wife mentioned to me yesterday I would NOT have remembered it. In fact we spend half our time trying to come up with the name of someone we know now.

Breaking in under Kitzman was a real education. He was a biller for right at fifty years and knew everyone in that end of the business. He started with the Ringling advance in 1917, then with the combined shows starting in 1919, from there to the Ranch show in 1926.

Later in 1931 he went to Russell Bros where he headed up the car for years, remained when it became the Beatty show, then to Ben's Campa Bros, Kelly-Miller, back to Beatty, back to Kelly-Miller; then to Famous Cole for a brief time and finally on Carson and Barnes for several years until he retired after the 1965 season. He was the car manager on all the shows I named after he left the Ranch show and a whole generation of billers worked for him.
