Cole Bros. Circus 1930 #1 (Floyd & Howard King)

These first three pictures we see the earlier Cole Bros. Circus in question, arriving in Douglas, Ariz. 4/10/30.
Like so many other shows, it folded in mid-season, a victim of the Great Depression and was auctioned off in Tennessee.
This included the three elephants "Big Modoc", "Pinto" and "Gentry Queen". The last two were purchased by Charlie Sparks, now in his first year of ownership of the Downie Bros. Motorized Circus.
"Modoc" however was bought by the Ringling Show, shipped to the Peru Quarters and then to Sarasota in the fall with great plans for her future.
And after all was said and done, Floyd King returned to where he had begun as Press Agent for Al G. Barnes.
