Here are those pictures I mentioned. They were taken in Minot, ND while ms. White was on tour with Jordan World Circus in 2003. Also on the show was Louie DelMoral with Bowmanville Zoo elephants. |

Here is a lady circus trainer that has a true genuine love of animals.
Her level of animal care when she was with C&B was 20 years ahead of it's time.
She is a fine ambassador of good animal welfare to the entire circus industry.
Jimmy Cole
Thank you, Jim.
This is Obi.
2003, I think. The ride picture is also Obi. I heard he is temporarily at Lance's. Nicest tiger I ever met.
These photos were taken in Minot in 2003, on a Wednesday. Minot's was a Tuesday-Thursday Jody Jordan did between Duluth, Minn and Rapid City, SD. I saw the show in Duluth.
Ms. White, the Duluth date had never been graced with a female cat trainer according to the Divan, and were delighted by your act and showWOmanship.
The following year jody jordan had a certain female trainer working the cats of "Seagoville's finest" to qoute Mr. Cainan. Let me say they were not as impressed by her 'spend half the act chasing the cats around with just a pole as lungewhip had got caught chainlink' antics.
Well done.
Thank you too, Dan. I really liked Jody Jordan's show. A lot of fun
To be fair, if I had a nickel for every time my whip has gotten hung up on props, arena, my ankles, whatever- I could retire tomorrow..!
Does anybody have any ideas what show Louie DelMoral will be with this year?
D.Powell
to D. Powell i just spoke to louie yesterday and he is still with Doug . i suppose where ever Doug gets dates Louie maybe there CleanRaul.
Pat, Jewell New used to hang his whip on one of the three spindles when he had Travis, Monarch and Lancer doing them! I always had an extra whip handy and ready to toss to him as needed, which was quite often!
Gary, how often did the lions grab the whip?
In Daniel Suskow's lion act, there was one who carried the whip as part of the act; wonder how many whips he went through!?
I had one tiger who liked to steal my buggy whip I stashed in the props, but it was always in good humor. Cracked me up when he'd run off with it- I'd holler, he'd drop it, then he'd return to his seat and sulk because I spoiled his fun!
Quick Obi story (can't help it): he loved this ball. At the beginning of the act, I'd let him in first, then enter. We always had 15 seconds or so to goof around before the others came in and the lights came up. The mirror ball had a black cloth cover. There was a split in the side of it. Obi invented a game.
He'd come in, go straight to the ball, stick his head under the cover, and just STAND THERE! Like, if he couldn't see me, I couldn't see him! Tiger-style hide n' seek, I guess. I'd go over and pat his back, and he'd come out from under it like "Well, nuts!
You found me again!" Made me laugh every time.
Pat, Wade: Adam Burck also has a touch-friendly Obie in his Hawthorn act. Any connection?
Lane Talburt
Mr. Talburt,
I'll respond to the Obie question as I've recently met this much talked about Obie
Adam has the very animal that Miss White so adored.
He is a lovely tiger
Currently this animal is at at the Ramos coumpound, as Lance has trained 3 new tigers to go into Adam's act.
Saw it myself, they all worked very well.
Hi p white, are you the girl who bought a 15 year old appy stallion with me in clare when we were 11 and 12 years old? If so, please let me know, I have been searching for you off and on for a long time, pgobie@wildblue.net
