If it's like the one on the red show there are 2 ring trusses both flown...They're both dropped down then the top one is flown back out with the mesh being stored in between...all good until the chain hoists die like happened to us on the red show several times....nothing like being told..hey you're a big guy go get your a## out on the floor and help pull the rig up oh and you have to stay and keep it held up so the cats don't get out....lol
I recall a dress rehearsal show many moons ago when the cage started dropping during the act. By the time a half dozen or so suited execs ran over to help hold it up, it was about 5 feet above the heads of the tigers on one side. Quite a tense moment.

This is a pull-up type arena. What are they anchoring it to if there is no ring curb? Do they pull it up in the air to take it away?
